Emergency Crisis and Support

KG Psychological Services is not an emergency or crisis response service. Your psychologist may not be reachable outside of their regular working hours. In the case of immediate danger, please contact emergency services by dialing 000. For crisis support or immediate counseling, please visit the Crisis and Emergencies section of our website, which includes information on 24/7 crisis support services and contact numbers. Alternatively, go to the nearest hospital emergency department or consult your General Practitioner (GP).

Visiting Our Premises

If you visit our premises for psychological services, you acknowledge the risk of exposure to COVID-19 or other public health threats. This risk may increase when using public transportation, taxis, or ride-sharing services. By visiting our premises, you agree to take certain precautions to ensure the safety of yourself, your psychologist, our staff, and the wider community.

We ask all visitors to:

  • Refrain from attending if experiencing cold or flu symptoms. Our staff will confirm upon arrival that you do not have any symptoms.
  • Arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment to minimize waiting room time.
  • Wash your hands or use an alcohol-based sanitizer upon entering.
  • Maintain a safe distance of 1.5 meters from others at our premises.
  • Practice good respiratory hygiene, such as covering your mouth and nose with a tissue or elbow when coughing or sneezing, disposing of tissues properly, and using hand sanitizer afterward.
  • Avoid physical contact, such as shaking hands.
  • Use non-cash payment methods (e.g., credit/debit card, EFT).
  • Follow any additional health and safety instructions from our administrative team if requested.

These precautions may change based on local, state, or federal guidelines.

If You Arrive With Symptoms

To ensure the safety of everyone, if you arrive and exhibit symptoms of COVID-19, we will ask you to leave our premises immediately. Your psychologist can provide services via telehealth or make alternative arrangements as necessary.

Our Commitment to Minimizing Exposure

We have implemented additional measures to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 at KG Psychological Services. If you have questions about these efforts, please contact your psychologist or our administration team. These measures may adapt according to governmental advice.

In-Person Appointments and Visits

  • We request that you use hand sanitizer upon entry.
  • Hygiene practices are reinforced through signage around our premises.
  • We have removed frequently touched items such as cash payments and sweets/magazines from waiting areas.

Cleaning and Disinfection

  • We conduct cleaning in line with guidance from health authorities.
  • Areas frequented by clients and staff are cleaned twice daily.
  • High-contact surfaces, like counters and door handles, are cleaned regularly.

Physical Distancing

  • We encourage maintaining a distance of 1.5 meters from others and refraining from physical contact.

  • Seating in waiting and consultation rooms has been rearranged for appropriate distancing.

Ventilation

  • Steps have been taken to improve ventilation in our facility.

Commuting to Our Premises

We recommend that individuals drive to our location and avoid public transport whenever possible. If using public transport, we suggest:

  • Avoiding touching your face.
  • Sanitizing your hands frequently.

Telehealth Sessions

If you prefer telehealth services at any time, please inform your psychologist or our administration team. Additionally, if you wish to claim rebates for telehealth sessions, please check with your psychologist or our team before scheduling, as rebate availability may vary.

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 situation, if you or a member of our staff or affiliated psychologists tests positive for COVID-19, we may be obligated to notify local health authorities of your presence in the practice.
